These 6 foot long UVB phototherapy lamps are ideal for use in our full length phototherapy cabins. We strongly recommend that only official Philips TL01 UVB phototherapy tubes are used in any of our cabins. Over 4oo independent clinical studies have shown that they are the safest, most reliable and provide the most efficient UVB light therapy on the market.

Philips TL01 UVB narrowband tubes emit a very narrow waveband of the ‘B’ UV spectrum (290 – 315). The narrow waveband produced is between 305 and 315 nm and peaks at 311 nm, which has been shown to be the most effective waveband for dermatology. This narrow waveband results on lower treatment times. As the treatment is more focused and efficient, it means that there is lower exposure to UV radiation, which reduces the potential side effects of UVB treatment. These side effects can include reddening of the skin, itching or burns. The other benefit of a reliable and focused UVB treatment is that the correct dosage can be closely controlled.

All of our full body UV phototherapy cabins are designed to use official Philips TL01 UVB tubes, this results in the ability to offer shorter, focused and more efficient treatment plans. This coupled with the long life of 1,000 hours means that the TL01 tubes are ideal for UVB phototherapy treatment plans.
